Groundbreaking Ceremony for the New Ariston Factory in Niš
The President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, attended the ceremony to lay the foundation stone for the construction of the new Ariston factory in Niš. He announced that by 2025, the factory is expected to generate exports worth 240 million euros and create 300 new jobs.
“This is a significant and influential company for Niš, and we should aim to establish two more like it. With annual revenues of 3 billion euros and approximately 10,700 employees, the products of this major Italian company are on the market in 150 countries,” said President Vučić. Additionally, the increase of 21,670 jobs in Niš since 2012 highlights the substantial progress we have made thus far.
“I’m grateful to everyone from Italy who decided to invest in this project. I am confident that you will achieve great results in Serbia and that you will establish a lasting presence. This marks just the beginning and a step toward the future. Ariston is the 10th factory to start construction in Niš. I want people to envision their future here. We have much more work ahead, but by believing in ourselves and embracing change, we will pave the way for progress and a better life,” President Vučić emphasised.
