Meeting with the Serbian Member of Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina
President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić met earlier today with the Serbian member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Milorad Dodik, and said that they primarily discussed economic cooperation, but that he also briefed Dodik of the facts related to the talks on Kosovo and Metohija. The meeting was also attended by the President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović and the Prime Minister of Srpska, Radovan Višković.
"We had comprehensive consultations and an important conversation about our bilateral relations and economic cooperation. For us, the cooperation we have with the Republic of Srpska is of special importance, and these relations are set at a high and very responsible level. I can proudly say that always and at all times, we support each other," said President Vučić.
President Vučić said that the meeting also tackled the completion of the Čačak - Požega road construction, after which the road extends in three directions - towards Boljari, Užice and towards the Republic of Srpska and Bosnia and Herzegovina to bring them drastically closer to Serbia. He added that the section of the Kuzmin - Sremska Rača road obtained the first building permits and that the works are now accelerating.
President Vučić reminded that Serbia has always helped the Republic of Srpska.
"I hope that - as we get economically stronger - we will be able to help our people even more," said President Vučić.
President Vučić congratulated the President and the Government of the Republic of Srpska as well as Dodik, for managing to maintain macroeconomic stability in specific conditions, considering that they do not have so many foreign direct investments.
"Should there are any liquidity problems, I believe that Serbia will have the strength to help the Republic of Srpska," he said, adding that RS did not ask us to do that, but that he said this knowing what could happen in the autumn regarding the coronavirus epidemic.
President Vučić pointed out that Bosnia and Herzegovina is one of the most important partners for Serbia, that the trade exchange amounts to almost two billion, and that there is a desire to improve cooperation further and establish a complete communication network.

The President said that his interlocutors briefed him on the situation in Republic of Srpska and Bosnia and Herzegovina and that it had been agreed that after the elections and the cycle of all talks they would have on the future of Kosovo and Metohija, consultations would continue.
"I am very satisfied with the cooperation we have with the Republic of Srpska, the pragmatic cooperation with Bosnia and Herzegovina, and I believe that we can make it even better," concluded the President.
