President Vučić Attended the Opening Ceremony of the 33rd Summer Olympic Games
Aleksandar Vučić, President of the Republic of Serbia, attended the opening ceremony of the 33rd Summer Olympic Games in Paris. Alongside this event, President Vučić was a guest at a reception hosted by French President Emmanuel Macron, in honour of world leaders. During his visit, President Vučić also attended the ceremonial opening of the Serbian House in Paris.
“The Olympic Games symbolise hope, unity, and fair competition. We wish our Olympic teams good luck, successful performances, and many new records. Serbia is proud of the athletes who are representing us in this prestigious competition, and I am confident they will achieve outstanding results, as they have in the past. Seeing our athletes and the Serbian flag proudly displayed at the opening of the Olympic Games in Paris is an extraordinary feeling. This moment showcases our country through sports, presenting Serbia to the world in the best light and adding another chapter to our rich sports history. As our athletes march through Paris, they inspire young people across Serbia to believe in their dreams and remind us that, as a nation, we can achieve the highest goals through hard work and dedication," said the president, emphasising that nothing unites us like the successes of our athletes.
On the second day of his visit to the Republic of France, President Vučić, accompanied by French Minister for Foreign Trade and Economic Attractiveness Franck Riester, inaugurated the Serbian House in Paris.
“It gives me great pleasure to host you all today in this pavilion, designed to immerse you in the soul and heart of Serbia. The Serbian House is a unique cultural centre that offers an opportunity to discover Serbia’s rich heritage. This is more than just a pavilion; it's a journey into the essence of our people. When you step inside, you enter a world where tradition meets modernity, innovation meets achievement, and hospitality meets business acumen. Every detail here reflects Serbia’s rich history. I believe it will leave a lasting impression and foster a deeper understanding of our country. It also serves as the best invitation for everyone to come to Belgrade in 2027 and participate in the specialised exhibition, EXPO2027,” stated President Vučić. He thanked everyone involved in the project and praised how they represented the country. He also expressed his gratitude to his French friends for the honour and respect shown to Serbia, stressing that we will never forget their hospitality.
