President Vučić attends the groundbreaking ceremony for the new factory of „Barry Callebaut“
President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić attended today the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the new "Barry Callebaut" factory in Novi Sad and said that it would be the largest chocolate factory in this part of Europe. He added that this would mean a lot for the Serbian processing and food industry as most of the raw materials will be procured from the territory of our country.
President Vučić said he hoped the construction of the Chocolate Academy on the same site would start in June and July, which would mean additional engagement of our people, faculties and the University of Novi Sad.
"This means that we will have a large import substitution and substantially increased exports, which will further stabilize Serbia's public finances and economy," explained President Vučić. He added that we have not had significant investments and construction of factories in Novi Sad for about 40 years and that is why he is particularly pleased that this company, which is the leading world producer of high-quality chocolates and cocoa products, chose Novi Sad.
"It is certainly the best chocolate making technology in Europe. This is of great importance to our country. This is for the pride of everyone who works here. Congratulations to Novi Sad, congratulations to Vojvodina, congratulations to our Serbia on the opening of yet another amazing factory," said the President Vučić.
