President Vučić opens the international conference "World After the Coronavirus"
President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić said today that the world - due to the coronavirus pandemic - faces the challenges as yet unseen by the humankind, which does not imply that our response should be to look for excuses for deficiencies and bad moves in the future.
At the opening of the international conference "The World After the Coronavirus", President Vučić said that more things in the world had changed in the previous six months than in the last 20 to 30 years.
"Those six months brought severe and dramatic changes in the world of geopolitics and economic power and in the nature of the impact that individual countries, blocs and regions will have on world events in the future. It is time to talk more openly about two things. One is how to look at relations in the world and the position of Serbia in the future, as well as in what way we will react to economic, political and health-related challenges", said President Vučić.
President Vučić pointed out that when you look at the impact that COVID-19 had on the economies of the most powerful countries and regions, one can observe the great strength with which two powers are coming out of the pandemic - Germany and China, both for different reasons and from different angles.
