President Vučić visits the vaccination point for members of the Belgrade garrison
President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić visited today the vaccination point for members of the Belgrade garrison and their families and told them that vaccination is very important and that he expects the turnout in the Army and MUP to be even greater.
"I don't know how the Chief of General Staff Mojsilovic decided to make vaccination for members of the Army quite obligatory, but that's good. Every vaccine saves the lives, not only of the vaccinated persons Therefore, I thank them for getting organised like this," President Vučić pointed out and stated that in the last six days, since it was announced that those who will be vaccinated by May 31 will get financial support, the number of vaccinated people per day tripled.
"We have a threefold increase in vaccination compared to last week. We have 23,000 to 24,000 newly vaccinated people a day, and there were between 8,000 and 9,000," stated President Vučić. He added that he is satisfied with such growth and that 20,000 vaccinated daily is one small town vaccinated, which is not bad, but it is still not sufficient.
"This is how we stop the disease, the infection. We have provided vaccines, we have given many vaccines to the region. I think that people in Serbia deserve the responsible behaviour of all citizens of our country. Protect your nearest ones! We cannot behave selfishly. I am asking people to get vaccinated so that we can treat other patients, so that we can turn COVID hospitals into ordinary ones, treat those patients in the best way, and not just deal with solving COVID problems," said President Vučić and that a negative campaign was conducted against the Astra Zeneca vaccine, and that yesterday's data from Great Britain speak in favour of this vaccine.
