Congratulations of world officials on the Statehood Day of the Republic of Serbia
President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić received congratulations from numerous world officials on the Statehood Day of the Republic of Serbia.
Along with US President Joseph Biden, President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping, President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Milorad Dodik, the President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan congratulated President Aleksandar Vučić and wished him happiness and good health, and to the friendly people of Serbia- prosperity and well-being. The congratulation, among other things, reads:
"I am very satisfied that the friendly relations and cooperation between Turkey and Serbia, as a result of mutual ties at all levels, have reached the highest level in their history. Your efforts and leadership have undoubtedly contributed greatly to that success. It is a great pleasure to see the contribution of our bilateral relations to regional peace and stability. What we went through during the Covid-19 pandemic once again showed us how important regional relations are in the fight against such diseases. We are determined to improve cooperation between our countries further while maintaining the existing positive momentum."
Congratulations also came from the Presidents and Prime Ministers of Hungary János Áder and Viktor Orbán, President of the Republic of Croatia Zoran Milanović, President of the Republic of Bulgaria Rumen Radev, President of Romania Klaus Iohannis, President of the Federal Republic of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier, President of the Republic of Austria Alexander Van der Bellen. The congratulation also came from the President of the Republic of Greece Katerina Sakellaropoulou, President of the Republic of Cyprus Nikos Anastasiades, President of the Republic of Italy Sergio Mattarella, President of the Republic of Malta George Vella, President of the Czech Republic Miloš Zeman, President of the Slovak Republic Zuzana Čaputová and President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda, who pointed out that he is looking forward to an opportunity to visit Belgrade and, among other things, says the following:
"The outbreak of the pandemic has confronted our two nations and all of humanity with an unprecedented challenge, which we can only overcome through cooperation and international solidarity. As in the first wave of the pandemic, when we supported the Western Balkans' countries by donating medical supplies, we are now ready to cooperate and exchange experiences with our partners. This is evidenced by the offer related to vaccines against Covid-19 of Astra Zeneca, given by Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki. I am deeply convinced that thanks to mutual support, we will be able to overcome the challenges that lie ahead, which will enable us to further strengthen the ties between our countries and nations."
Queen Elizabeth II, President of Ireland Michael Higgins, President of the Swiss Confederation Guy Parmelin, King of the Netherlands Willem-Alexander, King of Spain Felipe VI and President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, as well as President of the Republic of Israel Reuven Rivlin also congratulated President Vučić on the holiday.
Serbian Statehood Day was also congratulated by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Armenia Armen Sarkissian, President of Georgia Salome Zourabichvili, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan KKassym-Jomart Tokayev and the first President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev; President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Hassan Rouhani, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, President of the Democratic People's Republic of Algeria Abdelmadjid Tebboune, King Mohammed VI of Morocco, President of the Republic of Tunisia Kais Saied, President of the State Council and Council of Ministers of the Republic of Cuba Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, and President of the Republic of Korea Moon Jae-in, President of Indonesia Joko Widodo and King of Tonga Tupou VI.
President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, as well as the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and the Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, also congratulated the Statehood Day of Serbia, and said, among others, the following:
"It is my honour and pleasure to send the most sincere congratulations to Your Excellency and your friendly nation on the Statehood Day of the Republic of Serbia, wishing you good health and happiness, and the people of Serbia plenty of progress and prosperity under the wise leadership of Your Excellency."
Congratulations were sent by King of Saudi Arabia Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Emir and Deputy Emir of the State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani and Abdullah bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Haitham bin Tariq Al Said, President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Arif Alvi and President of the People's Republic of Bangladesh Abdul Hamid.
In his congratulatory message, the acting Governor-General of Canada, Richard Wagner, reminds that many Canadians originate from Serbia and that their contribution helps Canada be a progressive, diverse and open country today.
