Farewell visit of the Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia
President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić received for a farewell visit the Ambassador of the Republik of Slovenia Iztok Jarc and thanked him for his contribution to the development of relations between the two countries.
President Vučić said that during the diplomatic post of Ambassador Jarc in Belgrade, political dialogue and economic cooperation between Serbia and Slovenia were intensified, and that visits of President Pahor and Prime Minister Šarec represented a great incentive to the bilateral relations but also to the regional cooperation considering the active engagement of Slovenia in the regional issues within the Brdo-Brioni process as well as the Berlin process. With this respect, President Vučić stressed the commitment of Serbia towards the preservation of peace and stability in the region.
President Vučić thanked for the support of Slovenia to the Eurointegrations of Serbia and expressed his hope that Ambassador Jarc will also confer that support through his new duty of the permanent representative of his country in the European Union. President Vučić asked Ambassador Jarc to convey his gratitude to Prime Minister Šarec for his personal engagement in appointing Slovenian experts to assist Serbia on the European path.
Ambassador Jarc expressed his satisfaction with the significant support that exists in Serbia to the strategic cooperation with Slovenia and added that holding of joint sessions of the two Governments has influenced the better understanding and more comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.
President Vučić wished Ambassador Jarc much success in his new duties and happiness in his personal life.
