Letter of gratitude of the President of the Association of Italian businesses in Serbia Confindustria Serbia
President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić received today a letter of gratitude from Patrizio Dei Tos, President of the Association of Italian Businesses in Serbia Confindustria Serbia, which reads as follows:
"Dear Mr President,
on my behalf and on behalf of the General Council of the Association, as well as all the members of Confindustria Serbia, I would like to thank you for the donation recently made by the Republic of Serbia to Italy.
This significant gesture of donation is a strong testimony and further confirmation of the closeness that exists between Serbia and Italy. As history has repeatedly shown, our two countries have always known how to stay close, especially in challenging times. In this regard, I believe that the pandemic caused by the COVID-19 virus could not cast doubt, but it rather further strengthened the friendship that has linked Serbian and Italian people for centuries.
As His Excellency Ambassador Carlo Lo Cascio mentioned recently, the situation in Italy is gradually and slowly improving, but the battle against the coronavirus is not over yet. It is for this reason that the donation made by the Republic of Serbia to Italy will help save lives: as Italian citizens, we feel obliged to express our gratitude.
For this reason, on my behalf and on behalf of the hundred and seventy Italian businessmen represented by Confindustria Serbia, I want to assure you that we will do our utmost. We are available now, and so we will be in the future. We will continue to work guided by our usual professionalism, guaranteeing safety at work for our employees and providing our contribution to local governments through maximum support and donations that we have diligently implemented since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic," reads the letter of Patrizio Dei Tos, the President of the Association of Italian Businesses in Serbia Confindustria Serbia, which ends with a greeting: "Long live Serbia, Long live Italy! Insieme vinciamo!"
