Meeting with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden
President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić met today with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden, Jan Lundin, who conveyed the greetings of Prime Minister Stefan Löfven and delivered his letter inviting the President to participate in the International Forum on Holocaust Remembrance and Combating Antisemitism to be held in Malmö in October. President Vučić said he is looking forward to a new meeting with Prime Minister Löfven as he considers him a true friend of our country.
He added that he was satisfied with the good political relations between Serbia and Sweden, as they represent a strong basis for strengthening economic cooperation, especially through Swedish investments in the Serbian economy. President Vučić emphasised the business of IKEA department store and long-standing cooperation with Ericsson as examples for businessmen from Sweden that Serbia achieves good economic results and shows the necessary stability, and expressed hope that there will be new investments.
Ambassador Lundin pointed out that Sweden continues to support the European integration process of Serbia and render concrete assistance in various fields, especially in the area of the rule of law and environmental protection.
President Vučić also tackled the situation in the Western Balkans with Ambassador Lundin, reaffirming Serbia's commitment to making a full contribution to regional stability.
