Meeting with the Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina
President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić met today in Belgrade with the Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Milorad Dodik to discuss the importance of the upcoming visits of the two statesmen to the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Turkey.
It was agreed that the Republic of Serbia will intensify its support to the Republic of Srpska, and at the request of President Dodik, Serbia will provide special and great support to the municipalities of Kostajnica, Kozarska Dubica, Nevesinje and Drvar. These are less developed municipalities of the Republic of Srpska and the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which were partially damaged in the recent earthquakes, and those places are of special strategic importance for the entire Serbian people.
President Vučić said that Serbia would help and that it would always be with its people west of the Drina while observing the international laws and the territorial integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Also, the two interlocutors assessed that the Serbian people in the sphere of politics, economy, and especially culture and education, must provide the most unique answer to modern challenges. In accordance with that, Vučić and Dodik agreed on the participation of experts from the Republic of Srpska in the joint writing of textbooks in the Serbian language, history and geography for the territories of the Republic of Serbia and the Republic of Srpska.
President Dodik particularly thanked Serbia for the vaccines it donated to the Republic of Srpska and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
