Meeting with the delegation of company Zijin
President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić met earlier today with the delegation of the company Zijin, headed by the President of the company Chen Jinghe.
On behalf of Chinese President Xi Jinping, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Serbia, Chen Bo, delivered a letter of invitation to President Vučić inviting him to attend the 17 + 1 Summit to be held in the first half of 2020 in China.
Upon confirming his attendance of the Summit, President Vučić thanked for the invitation and once again emphasised the strong ties and traditional friendship of Serbia and China.
The President of the Zijin company, Chen Jinghe, emphasised that a year since the takeover of RTB Bor, Serbia has become the best of the 11 countries where the company invests and that it marks great progress each month. He said the company’s profit in 2019 will be about USD 30 million and stressed that this year only, production at RTB Bor has seen a year-on-year increase by 24 per cent. According to him, salaries have increased, now being 50 per cent higher than the average salary in Serbia.
President Vučić thanked again the company Zijin for the support, as the company plans to invest USD 800 million next year in RTB Bor and the Timok project.
