Meeting with the Minister of Tourism and Environment of the Republic of Albania

Although an increasing number of tourists from Albania visit Serbia and vice versa, President Vučić and Minister Klosi stated that there are untapped and great potentials and that it is, therefore, necessary to work on mutual promotion of the tourist offer of the two countries. In that sense, they emphasised the importance of a direct flight of Air Serbia between Belgrade and Tirana.

 

President Vučić and Minister Klosi welcomed the abolition of roaming in the Western Balkans, which came into force today, as one of the incentives for more extensive tourist traffic in the region. They also concluded that the initiative for cooperation between Serbia, Albania and North Macedonia, known as the Mini Schengen, opens up opportunities for the free flow of people, and thus for greater tourist exchange.

 

The President of Serbia proposed specific measures for the improvement of tourist activities between the two countries, as well as support for increasing the level of investments in the field of tourism.

 

"Within the framework of the Berlin Process and Mini Schengen, it is possible to work even faster on the development of the tourist offer, both in Albania and Serbia and in the entire region of the Western Balkans," the interlocutors concluded.
