President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić met today the Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia Marjan Šarec to discuss the relations between the two countries, economic cooperation and European integrations
President Vučić thanked for the support Slovenia provides to Serbia in the Euro-integration process, and especially for the continuous political and technical-expert assistance in particular negotiating chapters. He pointed out that Serbia perceives Slovenia as a very important partner in both bilateral and regional and European contexts. „Slovenia is very important for Serbia as the economic partner with solid economic courses, the interconnectedness of the markets and growing investment cooperation", said President Vučić.
„Slovenia offers its support to the dialogue between Belgrade and Priština because good regional relations are in the interest of Slovenia", said the Slovenian Prime Minister and added that Serbia can count on its support with respect to the EU enlargement.
The two interlocutors agreed that the bilateral relations are very intensive which is displayed through mutual visits at the high and highest levels. The trade exchange increased last year by 14 per cent, and with 1 billion Euros Slovenia remains one of the biggest investors in Serbia. As a proponent of the EU enlargement into the Western Balkans, Slovenia renders its support to the European integrations of Serbia.
