President Vučić meets the Director for Continental Europe at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of France
President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić met today with the Director for Continental Europe at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of France Frédéric Mondoloni.
President Vučić thanked Mondoloni once again for all he had done for the relations between Serbia and France during his ambassadorial post in Belgrade. The two interlocutors agreed that the visit of President Macron provided a new momentum to the bilateral relations. The French diplomat pointed out that the visit to Belgrade was very special to President Macron and that it funnelled the new energy for the Serbian-French cooperation and accomplishment of ambitious joint objectives. With that respect, Mondoloni announced the visits of several French Ministers in the upcoming months.
The official of the French Foreign Ministry also conveyed the commitment of President Macron to the dialogue between Belgrade and Priština which he also demonstrated through the initiative to organise meetings dedicated to that process together with Chancellor Merkel.
President Vučić and Mondoloni also discussed the French concept of the European Union enlargement which, as explained by the French diplomat, implies the membership of the Western Balkans upon completion of the EU internal reforms and fulfilment of conditions by the candidate countries.
President Vučić thanked for the dedication of France to the economic development of Serbia through the engagement of the French Development Agency whose regional office has commenced with its activities in Belgrade.
