President Vučić receives letter of accreditation from the newly appointed Ambassador of the Kingdom of Cambodia
President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić received the letter of accreditation from the newly appointed Ambassador of the Kingdom of Cambodia Vutha Tan and expressed his satisfaction because his country - after almost three decades - reopens it Embassy in Belgrade, with the hope that any of the high Cambodian officials could attend the opening of the Embassy.
Welcoming Ambassador Tan and wishing him a successful mandate, President Vučić expressed his belief that Serbia and Cambodia will improve political dialogue and cooperation in all areas of common interest in the coming period.
President Vučić thanked for the principled position of Cambodia to respect the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Serbia, adding that Cambodia can count on the support of Serbia.
Ambassador Tan reminded of the strong ties between the two countries from the time of the founding and work of the Non-Aligned Movement and conveyed the messages of the state leadership of Cambodia that they will continue to provide support to Serbia. He added that he came to Serbia intending to strengthen relations and develop cooperation in all areas.
The two interlocutors expressed the expectation that the improvement of the contractual and legal basis will also contribute to this, especially in the field of economic cooperation, which is of moderate scope.
President Vučić and Ambassador Tan agreed regarding possibilities for the marketing of our agricultural products in the Cambodian market along with potentials for cooperation in the fields of infrastructure, science and technology, education and culture.
