President Vučić receives the Letter of Credence from newly appointed Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands
Gilles Arnout Beschoor Plug presented to the President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić the Letter of Credence whereby the King of Netherlands Willem-Alexander appoints him as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the Republic of Serbia. The newly appointed ambassador conveyed the greetings of the Dutch king and the best wishes for the progress of Serbia and its citizens.
President Vučić wished Ambassador Plug a welcome and successful diplomatic work in Belgrade and expressed his expectation for more future contacts at the high level within the political dialogue framework and more initiatives for economic cooperation. The President invited Dutch officials including the King and the Prime Minister Rutte to visit Serbia, as it would lead towards a better mutual understanding.
President Vučić thanked Holland for its support to the European path of Serbia and emphasised that Serbia is committed to the social and economic reforms and especially to the preservation of the regional stability. Ambassador Plug welcomed the resolute steps President Vučić made in the dialogue between Belgrade and Priština as well as the bold economic reforms.
The two interlocutors ascertained that Dutch companies which are already present on the Serbian market have successful business operations and that a more intensive interest of potential new investors can be noticed. Therefore they expressed confidence that the economic ties will grow stronger, especially in the area of agriculture.
