Telephone conversation with His Majesty the King of Bahrain
President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić talked today on the phone with His Majesty the King of Bahrain, Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, about the possibilities for the two countries to develop comprehensive cooperation following the mutual interest.
President Vučić and King Hamad particularly expressed the desire to improve economic cooperation between Serbia and Bahrain, both by increasing foreign trade exchange and through investments by companies from Bahrain in Serbia.
President Vučić expressed satisfaction with the establishment of personal contact with King Hamad, considering the reputation that Bahrain enjoys in the Islamic world. The two heads of state expressed their desire to contribute to the preservation of peace, stability and prosperity through cooperation and joint activity at the international level.
The two interlocutors discussed the possibilities for cooperation between the two countries in the fight against COVID-19, with the Bahraini sovereign offering the Serbian President all types of help.
King Hamad invited President Vučić to visit Bahrain, to which President Vučić responded by asking King Hamad to visit Serbia, expressing hope that he would have the opportunity to host him during his presidential term.
