Telephone conversation with the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan
President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić talked today on the phone with the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev about the export of weapons and military equipment to that region and expressed our country's determination not to interfere in the existing disputes, respecting the inviolability of borders of the United Nations member countries.
President Vučić expressed condolences over the victims of the recent armed incident on the Azerbaijani-Armenian border and stressed that Serbia is committed to the peaceful settlement of disputes through dialogue, respecting the agreements reached and without unilateral steps.
President Vučić told President Aliyev that Serbia highly values the friendship and established strategic partnership with Azerbaijan and that he hopes to strengthen cooperation, based on the Action Plan signed by Presidents Vučić and Aliyev. That is why he once again sent an invitation to his Azerbaijani colleague to visit our country, while the date of the visit will be agreed in the following period. In order for a visit to be better prepared, President Vučić will send his special envoy to Baku.
