Telephone conversation with the U.S. National Security Adviser
President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić talked on the phone today with the U.S. National Security Adviser, Robert O'Brien, about the bilateral relations between Serbia and the USA, as well as about the situation in the Western Balkans region.
President Vučić and senior U.S. official O'Brien said that relations between the two countries are on the rise, but that there are still many opportunities to promote them to a higher level, especially in the field of economy. President Vučić thanked Adviser O'Brien for his engagement in strengthening Serbian-American ties and pointed out that the opening of the regional office of the American International Finance Corporation for Development in Belgrade signifies strong support to the social and economic development of Serbia and the Western Balkans.
President Vučić pointed out that, during the meetings in the White House, he realised that Adviser O'Brien understood the position of Serbia and that he was always ready to hear the requests and problems of the Serbian delegation.
President Vučić emphasised that Serbia will comply with the Washington agreement on economic normalisation and that he hopes that this agreement will contribute to peace and stability in the region.
The U.S. National Security Adviser welcomed the contribution of the President of Serbia to fulfilling the goal of making the Western Balkans a peaceful and stable region, attractive for American and other foreign investments, which would contribute to its social and economic development.
